A. A. Goin, 79, died at 4 a.m. Thursday at the home of his son, M. J. Neer, 403 North Coler avenue, Urbana, following a long illness due to paralysis. His condition had been serious for sometime. He had been at his son's home for the past three months, coming here from his home in Jonesboro, Ark.
The body was removed to the Leonard funeral home and will be shipped to Jonesboro, Ark., Thursday
evening. Funeral services will be there Friday afternoon. Interment will be made beside his wife who died six years ago.
The deceased was the son of John and Almira Goin and was born in McLeansboro on Oct. 21, 1860. He had been a resident of Arkansas for many years.

Former Jonesboro Resident Died at Champaign, Illinois
Funeral rites were held this morning at ten o'clock for A.A. Goin, 79, who died at 4:45 yesterday morning at Champaign, Ill. at his former residence at 714 Cate Avenue. Services conducted by Rev. L. G. Miller. Interment was at the Oaklawn Cemetery.
Mr. Goin resided in Jonesboro for 56 years prior to moving to Champaign two months ago. He was a retired Cotton Belt Railroad engineer. For a number of years he served as secretary of the Brotherhood of Locomotive Engineers.
Pall bearers were F.J. Yarbrough, T.N. Stephens, W.H. Hudson, Holman Mabry, Oscar Marcum, and W.L. Rogers.
