Nancy Ann Madden was born in Northern Ireland (about 1828-1834). She married David Graham (1838-1908). Nancy Ann and David had one child, Thomas James, before they left Ireland. Thomas was a sickly child. So, the couple left him behind with family as they migrated to Philadelphia, PA about 1855. In 1863 Thomas was brought to the US by a relative even though the couple counted him in the 1860 census. Eventually, Nancy Ann and David had five children before Nancy Ann's untimely death of pureperal convulsions on the 16th of November 1864. Nancy Ann and David's children were Thomas James (1855-1941), Elizabeth (1857-1878), David (1860-1920?), Nancy Ann (1862-1956) and John who was the child Nancy Ann was giving birth to when she died. He survived about six months (1864-1865). Nancy Ann was first buried in the Franklin Cemetery with James Graham (1860 census) and David's mother Elizabeth. When Franklin Cemetery was closed all three were moved later. Nancy Ann was actually buried or at least memorialized in the Knights of Pythias, Greenwood Cemetery adjacent to David and Matilda Graham.Wife of David Graham
