Geraldine C. Hiebert was born on September 23, 1935 to parents Gerald and Marlys Crawford.

She died in Salem on February 11, 2007.

She married Raymond P. Hiebert on February 21, 1958 in Dallas, Oregon. Together they owned and operated Capital City Carriage. In the late 1960's they also operated a riding stable in Rockaway Beach. Gerry was very active with the Oregon School for the Deaf where she worked for many years. She was a member of the Salem Saddle Club for over fifty years and enjoyed horses and animals of all kinds.

She is survived by her sons, Rick and Mark Hiebert; and granddaughters, Emily and Sarah, all of Salem; mother, Marlys Ryan; brothers, Mike and Peter Crawford and Mike Ryan; and sisters, Jerry-Ann Trip, Pat Carlson, Jodi Anderson, Debbie Robinson and Sharon Zumwald. On May 7, 1996, Raymond preceded her in death.

She is also preceded in death by her father and step-mother, Gerald and Phyllis Crawford.

She will be dearly missed by her close friends, Sue Hathaway, Sharon Kudna, and Judy VanCleave.Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m., on Saturday, February 17, at Virgil T. Golden Funeral Service followed by interment at Restlawn Memory Gardens. Contributions may be made in her name to Willamette Valley Hospice.From the pages of the Stateman Journal of Salem, Oregon.
