Denny was the beloved youngest son of Frank and Anna Sullivan Fitzgerald. He was born on the Fitzgerald family farm in Seven Mile Creek Township in Juneau County. Denny had nine siblings: Geraldine, Patrick, Iona, Mary, Cecelia, Rose, Mike, Francis "Rusty" and baby Lucy, who was born after Denny. Unfortunately, Iona died a year before Denny was born, but he still had quite a brood of loving siblings to look out for him. Denny and his younger sister, Lucy, were best friends for life.
Denny married the love of his life, Roberta Louise Cassidy, on June 23, 1956 at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Lyndon Station.
Denny and Roberta had five wonderful children: Denise, Kyran, Deanna and Darrin (twins), and Shane. In addition, there are many grandchildren and many great-grandchildren, all of whom adore Denny just as much as he adores them.
Denny is buried adjacent to his cherished grandson, Travis, who died tragically in an accident.
Denny was a carpenter and worked at Hoehn Lumber for many years.
Denny was active in St. Mary's Catholic Church and a retired member of the Lyndon Station Fire Department.
Every single person in Lyndon Station knew and loved Denny. Denny was friendly and kind to others. Denny is a patriarch who has left, with Roberta's help, a priceless legacy of personal and family values of the highest magnitude. And with his personal dynasty, his memory will be cherished and honored for generations to come.
