May 14, 1955 ~ May 18, 2016
David A. Rose Sr. was born May 15, 1955 in Morgantown, WV. Dave passed away peacefully in his sleep on May 18, 2016 at the age of 61.
He graduated with honors from the Naval Training Academy in San Diego, California in 1988. He served during the Gulf War where he earned several medals of honor. He served his country until 1996 when he was forced to retire due to a military related injury. He was disheartened that he would no longer be able to serve his country with honor. He considered it a privilege.
Dave will be remembered for his genuine humor. He was the most honorable man I have known. He was a kind, caring, loving, generous, compassionate and supportive husband, father, grandfather and friend. His passion in this life was for his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.
He was preceded in death by his father Joda J Rose, his mother, Doris Gene Rose, our son Daniel Aaron Rose, and two granddaughters, Abgail Rose McGhee and Annalyn Faith Rose.
He is survived by his wife Deborah Rose; daughter Melinda McGhee and husband Jon; son David A. Rose Jr and wife Melissa; three grandchildren, Jonathon McGhee, Reagan McGhee and Elijah Aaron Rose. He is also survived by two brothers, Larry Rose and Randy Rose of Morgantown, WV.
A memorial will be held at a later date.
In lieu of flowers it would be the desire of Dave's heart to help someone in need or to make a donation to The International Fellowship of Christians and Jews.
