Obituary:
Martha "Tillie" Custer Kinsey, former Kingsville, Texas resident, 76, of Taft, Texas died October 3, 2004 at home. She was born October 6, 1927 in Kingsville to Otto and Eva Custer who were early pioneers of Kingsville. She attended Kingsville schools before marrying Boyd Kinsey on April 18, 1950. She was a homemaker.

She was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, Robert (Bobby) Custer, and Buddy Custer; and sister, Wilie Mae Redus.

She is survived by her husband of 53 years, David Boyd Kinsey Jr. of Taft, Texas; four sons: David (Debbie) Kinsey III of Victorville, California, Donald (Susan) Kinsey of Duluth, Minnesota, Dennis Kinsey of Corpus Christi, Texas, Billy Kinsey of Taft, Texas; daughter, Nancy (Michael) Jones of Kingsville, Texas; two sisters, Rosalie Traut of San Antonio, Texas and Mary Custer of Kingsville, Texas; six grandchildren: Nathan and Christa Kinsey, both of Duluth, Minnesota, Brook Kinsey of Houston, Texas, Michael Kinsey of Plugerville, Texas, Billy Kinsey Jr. of Colorado Springs, Colorado, and Lisa Jones of Kingsville; and three great-grandchildren.

Visitation will take place from 1:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. on Friday, October 8, 2004 at the Turcotte-Piper Mortuary, Kingsville, with a rosary to be recited that evening at 7:00 p.m. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, October 9, 2004 at St. Gertrude's Catholic Church, Kingsville. Burial will follow in Kingsville at Chamberlain Cemetery. Services are entrusted to Turcotte-Piper Mortuary, 205 General Cavazos Blvd., Kingsville, Texas
