James (Jim) B. Schumacher SR, 74, passed away quietly Thursday, April 28, 2011.
Funeral services will be held 2 p.m., Monday, May 2, in the chapel at Ankeny Memorial (4208 N. Ankeny Blvd.) A visitation will be held one hour prior to the service.
Jim was born January, 1937 to Bernard and Faye Schumacher. He had 1 brother and four sisters. Jim was a resident of Iowa his entire life. Retiring from Titan Tire Corp after 38 years of service, he enjoyed fishing, bingo and spending time with family.
He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Florence, son Jim Jr., daughter, Annie (daughter-in-law Berta Wurm) and Era (son-in-law Tony Starrett). He was preceded in death by his son Jeff.
Jim is the proud grandfather of five: Jamie, Steve, Courtney, Spencer and Danielle. He was recently made a great-grandfather with the birth of Max.
