Mrs. Henry Kerns Rites Thursday
Mrs. Anna Cox Kerns, 77, wife of Harry K. Kerns and Peoria resident 20 years died at 3:30 a. m. Tuesday at her home, 1111 North Monroe street. She had been ill three months.
Born in Stark county ear Wyoming Aug. 2, 1869, she was a daughter of Nathan Monroe and Martha Madeline Cox. She married Mr. Kerns Feb. 3, 1892, in Peoria. Mrs. Kerns was a member of First Church of Christ, Scientist, and the Order of Rebekah.
Surviving are her husband; two sons, Alva J. Kerns of Peoria and Orville M. Kerns of Woodstock; three sisters Mrs. M. M. Ward of Virginia, Mrs. E. L. Halstead and Miss Cynthia Cox, both of Toulon, and four grandchildren, Kenneth, Marilyn, Jeanne and Martha Lou Kerns, all of Woodstock and Reginald W. Kerns of Peoria.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p. m. Thursday at the Gauss mortuary. Burial will be in the Sheets cemetery near Wyoming
