Funeral Services were held 10:00 A.M., Tuesday, October 26, 1982 at the Evangelical Covenant Church in Aurora. Interment was held in the Aurora Cemetery.

OBITUARY: Ralph H. Sallans

Ralph Henry Sallans, the son of Henry and Estella Hurd Sallans, was born at Greenwich, New York, on February 7, 1919. His death occurred at Grand Island, Nebraska, on October 23, 1982 at the age of 63 years, 8 months and 7 days.

He spent his childhood in the Greenwich vicinity and received his education in the public schools there.

On March 14, 1941 he entered the service of his country and served in the Army during World War II, a portion of this time was spent overseas. He received his discharge on September 21, 1945.

On May 15, 1942 he was united in marriage to LaVerna Grafel at Washington, D.C. After the war they returned to Greenwich, where he worked for the railroad, until 1955. Then they moved to Herndon, Kansas, where they farmed until their retirement in 1981, when they moved to their present home in Aurora.

Mr. Sallans was a member of the Evangelical Covenant Church in Aurora.

His parents had preceded him in death.

Those who remain to cherish his memory are his wife, LaVerna; two sons, Gary Dean Sallans and his wife Elaine Marie of Aurora, Nebraska and Dale Ralph Sallans and his wife Nancy Ann of Ravenna, Nebraska; one brother Burdette Sallans and his wife Dorothy of Salem, New York, four grandchildren and other relatives and close friends.
