Lyle was born in Willow Springs, MO. to Lyle A. and Blanche (Robertson) Spence.

He graduated from Willow Springs High School and the University of Missouri with a degree in Agriculture.

He worked for Wilson Foods for 42 years and stayed a die-hard Missouri Tigers fan. He was an avid bowler and active member of the Church of the Savior where he served as an elder and president of the congregation.

He was totally dedicated to his family and will be missed by all who knew him. He was preceded in death by his parents.

He is survived by his wife Priscilla; son Don Singleton and his wife Anne; daughter Sue and her husband Joe Hinson; daughter Kathy and her husband Billy Davison; grandchildren Brittany Hinson, Ryan Hinson and his wife Tiffany, Grace Singleton, Isabelle Davison, Jackson Davison, Chara-lette Davison and her children Blayden and Ma'kya and Brettana Davison; 2 great-grandchildren Peyton and Presley Hinson.

Services to celebrate his life will be 10:00 AM Saturday, June 7, 2014, at the Church of the Savior, 5600 NW 63rd St. in Oklahoma City. Please send donations in lieu of flowers to the church or to OMRF to further cancer research.
