SARAH MARIE CARTER May 1, 1987 - December 21, 2007 After seven years, two months and eight days, our "Sarah-Bear" has fought her last battle. finally succumbing to Leukemia. Sarah passed away on December 21st, 2007 -at the age of 20 years. Born in Escondido, CA, Sarah was raised in Ramona and Murrieta. Sarah was first diagnosed at the age of 13, yet Sarah still graduated with academic honors from Murrieta Valley High School on schedule. Sarah attended Mt. San Jacinto College, and was also a popular hostess/server at the Original Pancake House in Temecula. Sarah is survived by her mother Sandie, her sister Heather, step-father Marty, grandparents Richie and Charles Stewart; Aunts Sallie and Charlsa, Uncles John and Bob, and Cousins Morgan, Evan, Breanne, and Whitney. Sarah is also survived by her father David, step-mother Lori and step-sisters: Jessica, Tara, and Shannon. Finally, Sarah is survived by her best friend and fiancé Josh, Josh's family: Gigi Musser, Vance and Dan Hoopingarner. A celebratory service of Sarah's life will be held on Friday, December 28, at 10 A.M. at the Cornerstone Church, 34570 Monte Vista Drive, Wildomar, CA 92595. Refreshments will be served following the service at the church. Sarah will be laid to rest at the Dearborn Memorial Park, Poway, CA. on Jan. 3 at 10:00am. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in memory of Sarah can be made to the Sarah Carter Benefit Fund at Wells Fargo Bank, 41232 Murrieta Hot Springs Road, Murrieta, CA, 92562, account number 7884364238. If you have not become a member of the National Bone Marrow Registry, make it your first New Year's resolution.
