JOLLEY - Rev. John E. Sr., age 74, Ft. Pierce, Fla. Died Thursday morning in a local hospital. Born in Cedartown, Ga., he was a retired Methodist minister. He had pastured Clifton Hill Methodist Church, Hales Bar Methodist Church, Havorn's Chapel at Jasper, Tenn. and Pleasant Grove Methodist at Jasper. He was owner and operator of Jolley Motor Service on S. Broad Street and John Jolley Garage on E. 23rd Street for 50 years. Survivors are his wife, Mrs. Wilabel Robinson Jolley; two sons, Col. (ret.) John E. Jolley Jr. of Kingsport, Tenn.; and Edgar M. Jolley of Signal Mountain; sister Mrs. Annie May Turner of Macon, Ga.; eight grandchildren, Mrs. Cathey J. Anderston of Knoxville; Sgt. John E. Jolley III of Davis-Monthan AFB, Ariz.; Miss Trisha L. Jolley; Mrs. Teri L. Teague; Miss Cherie E. Jolley; Jay H. Jolley; Edgar M. Jolley, Jr.;and Mickey Jolley; one great-grandchild, Mary E. Teague. Funeral services will be 12 noon Saturday at Saint Andrews United Methodist Church with Rev. John Wikle officiating. Interment will be in Chattanooga Memorial Park. Pallbearers will be Harry Berke, W. J. Fabiani, John Steffner, Rev. J. B. Wood, L. T. Prigmore and Mark Womack. The body is at the Chattanooga Funeral Home, West Chapel, where the family will receive friends Friday, 2 p.m. - 4 p.m. and 7 p.m. - 9 p.m.
