Byhalia - John Connor Caldwell, 5, died on January 12, 2013, after a courageous battle with cerebral arteriovenous malformations (AVMs). Diagnosed in 2010, Connor had more than 15 surgeries in Memphis and New York City, his constant smile and sweet nature remained an inspiration to all and a reminder of God's blessings.
Connor was born on September 4, 2007 as the fourth child of Tony and Kim Caldwell. Connor is survived by his loving parents, Tony Caldwell and Kim Jenkins Caldwell; siblings, Courtney, Cameron and Katie Caldwell, all of Byhalia, MS, and paternal grandparents, Jim and Sandra Caldwell of Tupelo, MS. Connor was predeceased by sister, Karter Caldwell, maternal grandmother, Margie Gober Jenkins, and maternal grandfather, Carl Hardin Byrd.
A celebration of his life will be on January 16 at 1 p.m. at First Baptist Church of Olive Branch, 9235 Pigeon Roost Road, Olive Branch, MS. Visitation will be at the church two hours before the service. Connor will later be interred in a private service at Autumn Woods Memorial Park Cemetery, Olive Branch.
