Mrs. Evelyn Arnold Harrington, member of a family long prominent in the Hector's Creek-Buckhorn section, died Tuesday night at the home of her daughter, Mrs. John Allen Cotten. Mrs. Harrington, who was 69, had been ill for several weeks.

Services were conducted Wednesday afternoon at the Cokesbury Methodist Church. Officiating was Rev. E. C. Maness of Chadbourn, Mrs. Harrington's former pastor, assisted by Rev. E. C. Durham of Fuquay Springs, present pastor.

Since childhood, Mrs. Harrington had been an active member of the Cokesbury Church. She was the widow of W. R. Harrington, who died 18 years ago. A son, Davis Harrington, succumbed several weeks ago in the Cokesbury community.

Surviving Mrs. Harrington are two daughters, Mrs. Cotten of Kipling and Mrs. E. W. Bradley of Lillington, wife of the County Home Superintendent; and five sons, M. S. and J. C. Harrington of Raleigh, Raymond Harrington of Kipling, L. P. Harrington of Fayetteville and Reece Harrington of Rochelle Park, N. J.
