Victor and Matilda married in 1891. Pauline was the Granddaughter of Fraunce and Anna Karolina Ekman of Halmstad, Sweden.

11 Aug 1923, Pauline married Carroll Baines Grafa and they made their home in Fort Worth, Texas were they had a son, Carroll, Jr. and a daughter Beverly Pauline (Grafa) Shanafelt. Carroll died in 1949 and Pauline married Wilbur F. Chalfant. After their marriage, they made their home in Houston, Texas before moving to Midland, Texas in 1962.

Pauline, called Bama by her Grandchildren, was a beautiful, classy lady who was always happy, laughing and dancing around. Her style of dress, impeccable hair, nails and makeup, could put today's runway models to shame. Pauline loved all life gave her. She in turn was loved by all who knew her.

Love and miss her still.
