Glen was the son of Robert Bruce Dodge and Mary Addie Shaser.

Morning Olympian, April 11, 1991:
Glen Robert Dodge, 97, a lifetime resident of the Gate area, died Tuesday, April 9, 1991, in Liberty Care and Rehabilitation Center in Centralia.
He was born January 24, 1894 in Mima to Robert B. and Ada L. (Marcy) Dodge. His father came across the prairie in 1892 and was one of the settlers in the area.
He was married to Jessie Mae Johnston on February 5, 1920. Mr. Dodge was a dairy farmer for more than 71 years. He served in the Army during World War I, serving in Belgium and France.
Mr. Dodge was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars, Washington Barracks, Seattle and a lifetime member of the Seventh Day Adventist Church.
Surviving Mr. Dodge beside his wife of the family home are two daughters, Betty Hedges, Olympia, and B. Joanne Strassel, Ketchikan, Alaska; a son, Morris, Gate; a brother, Dean Dodge, Trout Lake; also six grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
A funeral service for Mr. Dodge will begin at 11 a.m., Friday, April 12, in the Seventh Day Adventist Church, Centralia. The Revs. H. B. Ramsey and Lloyd Canady will officiate. Services will conclude at the church. Interment will be in Grand Mound Cemetery, Rochester. Arrangements are by Newell-Hoelings Mortuary, Centralia.
