LaVerne "Tiny" Bailey, of Climax, born in Scotts, MI on Mar. 13, 1935, departed on Oct. 23, 2009. Tiny was preceded in death by his son, Brad who died at the age of 13; his mom and dad, Dan and Lottie Bailey; brother, Gerald; and sister, Wyla Fleming.
He leaves behind, his wife, Carolyn; daughter, Tracie; son-in-law, Rick; grandson, David Tarnow; sister, Glenice (Paul) Eversole, and brother, Oakley (Natalie) Bailey; and several nieces and nephews.
In 2002 he met and married Carolyn West, the love of his life. They loved to fish, gamble and travel. Carol has four children, Carrie and Ken Ciocco, Steven, Jerry and Kamie West and Tanya West. Carol's grandchildren are, Bri, Connor, April, Sheena, Steven, Anna, Taylor and Maija and three great-grandchildren; and good friends, Mark and Karen Harris.
Family will greet friends on Tuesday from 5 8:00 p.m., at the Langeland Family Funeral Homes, Climax Chapel, 205 E. Maple St., Climax. A Memorial service will take place Wednesday at 1:00 p.m., at the Climax United Methodist Church, Pastor Glenn Litchfield, officiating.
