FALLON - Claude Freeman, 89, a longtime resident of Fallon died Monday at his residence.
He was born May 17, 1887 in Michigan, His family homesteaded in the Stillwater District in the early 1900's.
Until his retirement, he ranched in the Stillwater District.
Surviving are son, Jim of San Francisco, Raymond of Vancouver, Wash., and Myron Hopkins of Washoe Valley; daughters, Evelyn Midwood and Marcella Blackburn, both of Medford, Ore., Ella Verschoor of Salem, Ore., and Ora Travis of Fallon; twin sister Maude Siefert of Atascadero, Calif., sister, Fay Holbrook of Grants Pass, Ore., 23 grandchildren and 17 great - grandchildren.
A funeral is scheduled for 10:30 a.m. Thursday at Austin's Funeral Home, Fallon, with burial to follow in the family plot of the Fallon Cemetery.
