Frank A. Hardin was a blacksmith and after 1850 he became an ordained Methodist minister. He was a circuit rider throughout Indiana and Illinois. He was a presiding elder in the Rock River Conf. His son and grandson were also Methodist ministers.

Franklin Allen Hardin was my gr,gr,gr,gr,gr grandfather on my mother's side. I found this site on Memorial Day, 2010, which is very appropriate. My heart swells with pride for the service he gave to our country.
