Vivian B. Anderson, 94, of Maplewood, Minn., and formerly of Cumberland died Aug. 18 at Ramsey Nursing Home in Maplewood. Funeral services were Saturday at First Lutheran Church in Cumberland, with the Rev. Tim Schmidt officiating and burial at Lakeside Cemetery there.
Mrs. Anderson was born Sept. 9, 1912 in Alliance, Neb., to Harvey and Elsie (Parker) Benjamin. She attended school in Antioch, Neb., and her family moved to Cumberland in 1921. Mrs. Anderson attended school in the Cumberland area and married Orville Anderson there on May 28, 1935. They farmed in the Cumberland area until moving to the Twin Cities in 1950. They returned to Cumberland in 1966 and lived there until moving to St. Paul in 1999. Mrs. Anderson lived with her daughterJoyce Webb, until entering the nursing home.
She is survived by three sons, Darryl of Crosby, Minn., Ken of Cumberland and Gary of Panama City, Fla.; two daughters, Joyce Webb of St. Paul and Kay DoErr of Nakomis, Fla.; 14 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; three sisters, Billie Eskelson of Superior, Velma Lombard of Cumberland and Lois Schultz of Maple Grove, Minn.; and three brothers, Robert of Michigan, Richard of St. Croix Falls and Tom of Arkansas.
Mrs. Anderson's husband, Orville, died Nov. 27, 1997. A daughter Arlene and a great-grandchild also preceded her in death. [Based on an obituary published 22 Aug 2007 in The Chronotype, Rice Lake, WI.]
