Miss Hite, 66, of 2813 Broad Ave. died Monday, Aug. 2, 1982, in Hillview Convalescent Center, following an extended illness. Miss Hite was employed at the Altoona Clinic from 1940 to 1960 and had been owner and operator of the Hite Clinical Laboratory from 1948 to 1982.

She was born March 21, 1916, in Altoona, the daughter of Charles Othello and Hilda (Myers) Hite. Surviving are four aunts: Mrs. Flora Lee and Mrs. Ethel Rose of Altoona, Mrs. Marian Caldwell of St. Petersburg, Fla., and Mrs. Mary Myers of Duncansville. Also surviving is Shirley Force, with whom she resided.

Miss Hite attended The Foot of Ten Independent Bible Church. She was a member of the Pennsylvania Association of Clinical Laboratories, American Association of Bioanalysls. Central Pennsylvania Humane Society and ZTA Sorority. She was a graduate of Altoona High School and attended the Pennsylvania State University. She was a graduate of Bethany College, Bethany. W.Va., and interned at Montifiore Hospital, Pittsburgh, as a laboratory medical technician. Interment in Alto-Reste Park.
