The Arkansas native lived in Brentwood before moving to Concord 47 years ago. He was a member of Clayton Valley Masonic Lodge, where he was known as "Mr. Fix-It" because he enjoyed repairing things. He was a deacon at Bethel Island Church of Concord.

He is survived by his wife of 47 years, Jean Fulks of Concord; daughters, Donna Bruder of Pleasant Hill and Deb Hall of Walnut Creek; son, Dan Fulks of Gerber; brothers, Henry and W.G. Fulks, both of Antioch; and seven grandchildren.

Services: Memorial, 11 a.m. today in the Redwood Chapel at Oakmont Memorial Park & Mortuary, Lafayette. Procession for committal service to follow at Memory Gardens Cemetery, Concord.
