Harold A. Timms of Middle Road died Friday April 5, 1985 in Glens Falls Hospital. He was 83. Mr. Timms was born in Vermont on Oct. 17, 1902, the son of Alfred and Anna (Abare) Timms. Besides his wife, Elsie Timms, surviving are; a daughter, Mrs. Francis M. (Louise) Barry of Richmond, Va.; a stepson, James A. O'Neill of Corinth; seven sisters, Mrs. Philip (Elizabeth) Smith of Queensbury, Mrs. William (Flora) Gerbert of North Bergen N.J.; Mrs. Lloyd (Katherine) Barnes of South Burlington, Mrs. Charles (Dorothy) Newton of Colchester, Vt., Mrs. Ralph (Ruth) Sayward of Meriden, Conn., Mrs. Al (Rena) Jelly of New York City and Mrs. William (June) Pelland of Hartford, Conn.; a brother, Sidney Timms of Queensbury; five grandchildren and a step-great grandchild and seversl nieces and nephews. Services will be conducted at 2:30 p.m. today in Caldwell Presbyterian Church by the Rev. Peter-Ross Magnan. Cremation will be in Albany Rural Creamatorium. Burial will be in the family plot in Evergreen Cemetery. Bearers will be Michael and Francis A. Barry, Edward G. Lagoy, Stanley H. Bull, James A. O'Niell and John Hall. The family has suggested that memorials take the form of donations to the American Cancer Society or the Lake George Emergency Squad and that flowers be omitted.
The Stafford Funeral Home, 90 Montcalm St., is handling arrangemets.
