A man of great humanity, disarming generosity and fanciful humor, John is deeply loved and will be sorely missed by a large and devoted extended family whose lives he touched profoundly.

Widely respected for his work in public relations, he served a broad spectrum of performing arts and educational organizations. John's creative and human skills brought worldwide attention to his exhibitions, public events and to individual artists with exceptional talent.

As a producer, director and award-winning writer in theatre, television and radio, his contributions to the entertainment world also included sponsoring internationally renowned performing artists.

He is remembered lovingly by is many friends and associates at the Actor's Fund of America, La Mama, The Spoleto Festivals, Steuben Glass, The Baltimore Museum of Art, the Smithsonian National Museum of American Art, the Fashion Institute of Technology, The Brooklyn Academy of Music, The Brooklyn Museum, the Corning Museum of Glass, the Museum of International Folk Art in Santa Fe, NM, and Gay Men's Health Crisis. He was a member of the Screen Actor's Guild, the Dramatists Guild, the American Association of Museums and is a life member of the Actor's Fund of America.
