William Barber, 80, of Fisherville Road, died yesterday afternoon at Concord Hospital after a short illness. Born in Kedington, England, he had lived here for more than 50 years and was a retired employee of the Rumford Press. He leaves his wife, Mrs. Lena (Wood) Barber; two sisters, Mrs. Alice Wheeler of Haverhill and Mrs. Emily Smith of Newbury, VT; a brother, Harry Barber of Thetford, VT, and nieces and nephews.
Services will be conducted at the Boutwell Mortuary Friday at 1 p.m. by Rev. John I Johnson, past nof the West Congregational Church. Burial will be in Blossom Hill Cemetery. Friends were invited to call at the funeral home Thursday from 7 to 9 p.m.
