Betty Jane Headlee, 79, of Shelbyville died Saturday, Oct. 23, 2010, at her home.
Born April 16, 1931, in Shelbyville, she was the daughter of Carl and Sophia (Sanders) Stainbrook. She married Jack Headlee on June 7, 1947, and he survives.
Other survivors include her children, Terry (husband, Ron) Crisp, Sherry (husband, Jim) Price, Jerry (wife, Tammy) Headlee, Merry (husband, Brad) Popplewell and Cherry (husband, Doug) Yanzer, all of Shelbyville; grandchildren, Ronita Crisp, Zachary Crisp, Jimmy Price, Lydia Chaney, Dusty Price, Jeremy Headlee, Scott Headlee, Joshua Headlee, Charity Popplewell, Betsy Sturgill, Ryan Popplewell, Joe Popplewell, Cierra Yanzer and Chase Yanzer; and 13 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, one great-granddaughters, one sister-in-law and two brothers-in-law.
Mrs. Headlee was a lifelong resident of this area.
She had owned and operated Treasure Isle Antique Store for 35 years.
Mrs. Headlee was a member of First Baptist Church for 68 years and attended Shelbyville Community Church, where she was a member of Seasoned Seniors Group.
She loved her family and her little Blondie dog.
Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Glenn E. George & Son Funeral Home, 437 Amos Road
Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home, with Pastor Brad Davis officiating.
Burial will be in Forest Hill Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be made to the American Diabetes Association or the donor's choice of charities, in care of the funeral home.
