Otto Sosbe, son of Mr. and Mrs. J. M. Sosbe, of this city (Shelbyville), and Miss Elizabeth Haskins, of Indianapolis, In., surprised their friends on what was to be their wedding day with the announcement that their wedding had occurred four months before at Richmond. Mr. and Mrs. J. M. Sosbe and family went to Indianapolis Thursday to attend the wedding of their son. The ceremony was to be performed at the home already furnished by the groom at eight o'clock. The appointed hour arrived, and the guest, about fifty in number were present, all were in readiness to hear the words pronounced which would make the young couple, man and wife. Mr. Sosbe quietly came into the room where the guest were seated. He was accompanied by his bride to be (as guest thought). When he reached a point where he could be heard he announced in great glee that all were fooled as they were already man and wife, having been married at Richmond on the 28th of last February. This announcement created a great deal of merriment among those assembled to witness the ceremony and after congratulations had been extended, the evening was spent in music and dancing. A wedding supper was served in four courses. Mr. and Mrs. Sosbe received many handsome presents.
