Son of John and Eva Weber Boylan.

Grandson of Patrick and Mary Branigan Boylan, and of Andrew and Gertrude Wiltz Weber.

Married Celia Mooney, the great-granddaughter of Thomas and Helena Mooney (the original inhabitants of Mooney Settlement in 1835) in about 1907. Their first child was born in late 1909, when Jack would have been 27 years old. Celia and Jack had a total of 8 children, 7 of whom survived to adulthood.

Joseph M "Joe" Boylan (1919 - 2007)*
Leo F Boylan (1922 - 1973)*
Louis Andrew "Loup" Boylan (1925 - 2004)*

The firstborn, Mary Agnes, was born in the original John Boylan farmhouse, and was 10 months old by the summer census of 1910, which showed the extended family all living together in this farmhouse (Jack, his wife and child, his three unmarried brothers, and his mother). Sadly, this little girl died of unknown causes in 1913 at the age of 4, when she also has a newborn brother, John, in the house as well. She was buried in Mooney Cemetery, near her grandfather John, and his parents Patrick and Mary. Her grandmother Eva Weber Boylan was probably still living at the time, but died before 1916.

Many of the Boylan family had been buried in Mooney Cemetery over the decades, including Jack's grandparents Patrick & Mary Branigan Boylan, his father John Boylan and his first wife, his uncles Thomas and Charles and their wives, and several of their children. Jack had a first cousin (the daughter of his uncle Charles), born several years earlier than he, whose name was Mary Agnes -- she had been born in 1876, and died at age 8 in 1884. Therefore there are two Mary Agnes Boylans, one 4 years old and one 8, both buried in Mooney Cemetery.
