She married George Chico (1900-1959) about 1926. They have four known children: Mary, Rose, Raymond, and Laura. The 1930 U.S. Federal census shows the family living at 725 Carolina Street on Potrero Hill in San Francisco, CA. George was an elevator operator and Proscovia's line of work was 'labor'. On August 9, 2003 our beloved mother, Proscovia Alice Bydalek, went home to be with our Lord Jesus. She was born May 23, 1910 in Salem Kars, Turkey. At the age of 3 she, her mother, father, mother Bill, and sister Mary migrated to America - first to New York, NY, then to San Francisco, CA. There she met and fell in love with George Chico. They had 4 children, Mary Alice Chico (Penna), Rose Lucille Chico (Fields), Raymond George Chico, and Laura Ann Chico (Echols). George worked for Standard Oil Co for 25 years. They moved to Port Orchard, WA in the late 1940's. They were divorced a few years later. Alice met and married Henry Herbert Bydalek a few years later. Mr. Bydalek passed away in the early 1960's. Alice later moved to Sequim, WA where she had lived several years and later moved to Centralia, WA where she has lived for the last 15 years.
She loved her family and her friends very much. She was very active in church and enjoyed gardening, crocheting, canning, and making homemade apple cider. She loved her farm in Port Orchard where her children grew up. On her farm she raised livestock, chickens, etc. She had also re-roofed the whole house herself. She was very proud of that.
Preceding her in death are her parents Mary Sliv-coff and John Rodney Corboff; her brothers, Alex, William, and George Corboff; her sisters Mary and Lucille Corboff. She is survived by her brother, Danny Corboff and sister, Vicky Corboff; daughters Mary Alice, Rose Lucille, and Laura Ann; and son Raymond George; grand-children, Al Penna, Jr, Dianne Penna, Laura Priscilla Thelin, Ronald Chico, Lezlie Tabert, William Robert Thelin, Rodney Russell Thelin, Cindy Chico, Ricky Chico, Jenny Quade, John Quade, Becky Quade, and numer-ous great grand-children.

Former Port Orchard resident Proscovia Alice Bydalek, 93, of Centralia died Saturday in Centralia of cancer.

In San Francisco, she met George Chico. They married in 1926.
The couple moved to Port Orchard in the late 1940s and were divorced a few years later.
Her children grew up on the family farm in Port Orchard.
She married Henry Herbert Bydalek. He preceded her in death in the early 1960s.
Mrs. Bydalek lived in Sequim for several years before moving to Centralia. She had been a resident of Centralia for the past 15 years.
She loved her family and friends. She was very active in church activities, having participated in the Valley Christian Center in Sequim.
Mrs. Bydalek enjoyed gardening, crochet, canning and making homemade apple cider.
She had been a member of the Port Orchard Eagles Ladies' Auxiliary Drill Team.
Survivors include a brother, Danny Corboff; a sister, Vicky Corboff; three daughters, Mary Alice, Rose Lucille and Laura Ann; a son, Raymond George; and 12 grandchildren, Al, Dianne, Laura Priscilla, Ronald, Lezlie, William Robert, Rodney Russell, Cindy, Ricky, Jenny, John and Becky; and numerous great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
