Civil War Union soldier. Served with the 91st Pennsylvania Volunteers Infantry, Company F, from February 28, 1865 to April 29, 1865. After the war, he worked as a farmer.
The Star and Sentinel (Gettysburg PA), Wednesday, October 28, 1903, page 1:
Amos F. Yeatts who resides with his son, Charles, near town had a stroke of paralysis on Saturday night last from which he died on Sunday afternoon. Mr. Yeatts was a veteran of the civil war. His wife died about a month ago in Carlisle. He is survived by three sons and one daughter all of which reside in Carlisle, except Charles. His remains were be [sic] entered at the Bethlehem Church at Centre Mills today. He was aged 69 [?] years.
