Arline Lupinsky Guzo, of Swoyersville, passed away on Friday, October 16, 2009, at Wilkes-Barre General Hospital, after a brief illness. Born in Pittston, on October 8, 1924, she was a daughter of the late Joseph and Mary Kisylea Lupinsky. She was a graduate of the Sacred Heart of Jesus Elementary School, Luzerne, and Swoyersville High School. She also graduated from the Bradford Beauty Academy, Wilkes-Barre. Mrs. Guzo was a lifelong member of the Holy Family Church, Luzerne, and was a member of St. Monica's Mothers Club. She was employed by Sea Isle Sportswear for a number of years.
She was preceded in death by her loving daughter, Susan Gail, in 1973; and her husband, Stephen, in 1989. Also preceding her in death was her brother, Joe "Bucky" Lupinsky, in 1994. She is survived by her sister-in-law, Betty Lupinsky; nephew, Cody; niece, Deborah Joe, Luzerne; brother-in-law, Albert Guzo; nieces, Elaine Maslo and Mary Thompson, all of New Jersey; niece, Rosemary Cooper; and nephew, John Dula, both of Florida; and nieces, Bonnie and Cindy Cooper, New Jersey. Arline is also survived by a family friend, Todd Swanson, Harveys Lake.
Mrs. Guzo's funeral will be held on Tuesday at 10 a.m. from the Lehman-Gregory Funeral Home, 281 Chapel Street, Swoyersville, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 a.m. in Holy Family Church, Luzerne. Interment will be at Denison Cemetery, Swoyersville. Friends may call today, from 7 to 9 p.m.
