Robert M. "Bapper" Macy
Robert M. "Bapper" Macy, 86, of Arlington, died Thursday, July 20, 2006.
Born Aug. 22, 1919, he was the son of Shirley Macy and Carrie Spencer. On July 22, 1944, he married Reba Linville and she survives.
Mr. Macy was employed with Eli Lilly for 32 years, retiring in 1983. He also worked for 10 years prior at HP Wasson Department Store. A 1938 graduate of Arlington High School, he also graduated from Indiana Business College. Mr. Macy was a member of the Little Blue River Friends Church and a member of the former Arlington Lions Club.
Survivors besides his wife include a son Robert J. (and wife Terri) Macy of Arlington; a daughter Margo (Mrs. Jim) Caudill of Shelbyville; three grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; one niece and two nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, a sister and a grandson.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Little Blue River Friends Church, Morristown. Burial will follow in Arlington East Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Monday at the church with calling one hour prior to the service at the church.
