Amanda C. Brinker, 14, of Anderson, went to be with her Lord and Savior Sept. 20, 2007, in Anderson.
She was born Dec. 10, 1992, in Fort Riley, Kan., and was a lifelong Anderson resident.
Amanda was a freshman at Anderson High School. She was very talented in gymnastics and loved playing softball.
She was a member of Mounds Baptist Church, where she was baptized.
Amanda was a sweet, kind-hearted girl who was outgoing and enjoyed spending time with her friends and family.
She is survived by her mother, Laura Brinker of Anderson; father, Sean Brinker of Carmel; a sister, Suzanne Brinker of Anderson; a brother, Kurtis Kennemuth of Anderson; grandparents, Patricia Young, Norm and Billie Brinker and Pat Kennemuth; great-grandmothers, Esther Baker and Marjorie Renfro; aunts and uncles, Valerie Boledovich, Heather McQueary, Kimberly Robertson, Scott Brinker and Hans Brinker; great-aunts, Marilyn (Mike) Goodman and Pam Nolton; former stepfather, Dan Kennemuth of Anderson; and several cousins.
Amanda was preceded in death by her grandfather, James A. Young; and a great-aunt, Chandra Weaver.
Services will be held at 1 p.m. Tuesday at Robert D. Loose Funeral Homes and Crematory, South Chapel, 200 W. 53rd St., officiated by Pastor Steve Wilkinson. Burial will take place at Anderson Memorial Park Cemetery.
Visitation hours will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Monday, at the south chapel.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be made to the Trust for Amanda Brinker through Independent Federal Credit Union.
Cause of death: Murdered
Note: Amanda's murderer has been found guilty and was sentenced to 65 years in prison.
