Visitation will be held from 6-8:00pm on Tuesday, January 22, 2013 at Duffy-Pils Memorial Home, Chenoa.
Cremation will be accorded following the visitation.
Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society.
Roger was born January 10, 1948 in Pontiac, the son of Vernon and Flora Pike McDevitt. He married Janet Petree on July 11, 1970 in Saunemin. She survives.
Also surviving are two daughters; Lindsey McDevitt and Erin McDevitt both of Bloomington; grandsons, Carlitos Bernal, Alejandro Bernal and Jaylen McDevitt; mother-in-law; Rosemarie Petree of Pontiac, and sister, Carol McDevitt of Pontiac.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Roger is a veteran of the United States Army serving from 1968-1970.
He worked for Seibert Incorporated in Chenoa for 35 years. He then retired from State Farm where he worked in security.
Roger loved muscles cars and was a loyal fan of the Chicago Bears.
His greatest joy was spending time with his grandboys!
