Married to William on April 4, 1918 in Edwardsville IL. They had 4 children: Edward Robert, Wilma Louise, Richard Lowell, and Mildred Marie. There are MANY grandkids, gr-greatkids, and gr-gr-grandkids!
Great Grandma used to tell me stories about her life as she grew up. Going from horses to cars, and long train or bus rides around the country. I loved listening to her stories.
Her obituary from the newspaper:
Alma C. Scovill, 91, Independence Health Care Center, died Feb. 20, 1993, at the Medical Center of Independence. Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at the Hinton Chapel; cremation. Friends may call from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Tuesday at the chapel. The family suggests contributions to the American Heart Association. Mrs. Scovill was born in Columbia, Ill., and lived in Hawaii, Idaho and Alabama, returning to this area in 1982. She was a printer for the Wootten's Printing Co. for 10 years, retiring in 1953. Survivors include a daughter, 10 grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren, and nine great-great-grandchildren.
