NORTH AUGUSTA, S.C.- Memorial services for Mrs. Rebecca (Becky) H. Richardson, 101, of Courtney Drive, North Augusta, who died August 9, 2004, will be conducted this Thursday afternoon at 2 p.m. from the Stephen D. Posey Funeral Home. Dr. James C. Adams officiating. Interment in the National Cemetery, Beaufort, Friday at noon. Mrs. Richardson was a native of Castalian Springs, Tennessee, having made North Augusta her home for the past 46 years. She was a member of the Grace United Methodist Church, the North Augusta Newcomer's Club, the Augusta Garden Club, the Augusta Woman's Club and the Augusta Duplicate Bridge Club. She was an avid knitter having won numerous ribbons at the Exchange Club Fair and enjoyed many years of teaching bridge. She lived a long and full life and would have celebrated her 102nd birthday yesterday. Mrs. Richardson was the wife of the late Commander (Ret) Curtis M. Richardson.
Survivors include five nieces, Dolores Anderson, H untsville, Ala., Diana Negley Shipe, Bluffton, S.C., Beth Hiers Jones, North Augusta, Faye Hiers Kitchel, La Jolla, Calif. and Susan Youmans-Rushton, Arlington, Va.; one nephew, Marion Frederick Youmans, Orlando, Fla.; one great niece, Brenda Dutton, Athens, Ala.; one great-great niece, Kristin Roberson, Athens, Ala.; her loving caregivers, Brenda Shaw, Augusta and Lucille Martin, North Augusta.
