Elwood--Mrs Bonnie June Smith, 41, 1805 S. Sheridan St., died at 5:30 p.m. Monday at her home after an illness of 11 years.

Mrs Smith was born June 12, 1920, in Yorktown and was the daughter of Ralph and Annora Jackson. She married Riley Smith on Sept 5, 1936. Mrs Smith was a member of the United Christian Church.

Surviving are: the husband; her father, who resides in Elwood; two sisters, Mrs Harold Dietzer and Miss Joann Smith, both of Elwood; four half sisters, Mrs Patrick Idlewine, Miss Jackie Jackson and Mrs Richard Robinson, all of Elwood, and Miss Thelma Jackson, New Castle; and nine half-brothers, Calvin, Meilvin, Claude, Harry, Larry and Everett Jackson,all of Elwood, and Wendell and Jimmie Jackson, who are serving with the Air Force.

Friends will be received after 7 p.m. Monday at the Clark Chapel in Elwood. Services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the United Christian Church in Elwood with the Rev. William Smith, pastor, officiating. Burial will be in the Elwood City Cemetery.
