Morris Seay, age 67, of The Colony passed away January 5, 2010. He was born October 7, 1942 in Abilene, Texas to Floyd G. and Mary Sellers Seay. Morris served in the United States Army during the Vietnam War. He married Jenny Watson on November 29, 1969 in Lubbock, Texas. Morris retired as a teacher from The Colony High School and was a member of First Baptist Church in The Colony since 1983. He was an Eagle Scout and was former Minister of Education at First Baptist Church in The Colony.

A graveside service will be held 10:30 a.m. Friday, January 8, 2010, at Dallas-Ft. Worth National Cemetery. A memorial service to celebrate Morris' life will be held 1:30 p.m. at First Baptist Church in The Colony. The family will receive friends today, Thursday from 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. at Mulkey-Mason Funeral Home in Lewisville. The family requests memorial contributions to be made to First Baptist Church of The Colony or the American Diabetes Association. For online condolences please go to www.mulkeymason.com

He is survived by his wife, Jenny, daughter Michele Green, her husband Duane and daughters Chelseay and Nicole of The Colony; son Brian and his wife, Karla McCain of Sherman, Texas; brothers James of San Antonio, Mark of Keller, Phil of Midloathian and Joe of Norman, Oklahoma.

Morris was a graduate of The University of Texas at Austin, Texas A&M University, and Southwestern Theological Seminary. He was involved in many other organizations including The Colony Friends of the Pubic Library, The Colony Economic Development Board, Denton County Republican Party as precinct chairman, Assistant Scout Master and District Advancement Chairman for the Tonkawa Council of the Boy Scouts and a member of the Gideons.
