Born in Andrews, NC, Mrs. Fowler was the daughter of the late Verlon B. Bradley and Bessie Wilson Bradley. Mrs. Fowler was retired from the textile industry and attended Chapel Grove Baptist Church.
In addition to her parents, Mrs. Fowler was preceded in death by her sons, Sonny Whitlock and Bobby Rector; brothers, Clint, Charles, Harold and Gene Bradley; sisters, Virginia Martin, Sally Stacey and Irene Dillard.
Mrs. Fowler is survived by her children and their spouses, Larry and Sharon Whitlock of Bessemer City, Carolyn Garrison and great-grandson, Bradlee Rector of the home, Kathy and Buster Lewis of Gastonia; step-sons, Kenneth Rector of Waynesville, Jerry Rector of Bristol, VA and Brian Rector of Roanoke, VA; sister, Bobby Sue Thornburg of Gastonia; daughters-in-law, Vivian Whitlock of Gastonia and Michelle Rector of New York; twelve grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren.
