Michael J. Nelan, 43, retired Navy Chief Specialist, died Tuesday afternoon in the Kincheloe Air Force Base hospital, shortly after being admitted. Mr. Nelan had resided at 414 North Front Street, Dowagiac and had been employed at the Michigan Employment Security office. Dowagiac, since March. He retired early this year after serving 21 years in the United States Navy.
Funeral services will be held Friday at the O'Sullivan funeral Home, Sault Sainte Marie, Canada.
