THOMAS HARRY YOUNG, JR., 52, of Forest Park, GA, died in the Crawford Long Hospital in Atlanta, Saturday afternoon, Sept. 18. His death came after an illness of some 8 months duration.
The son of the late Thomas Harry Young, Sr. and the late Trudy Heath Young, he was born Aug. 13, 1919 in Royston. He lived in Toccoa for a number of years and attended school at Toccoa High School. Young was a veteran of World War II having served with the U. S. Army. He was of the Baptist faith and at the time of his last illness, he was affiliated with National Distributing Company.
Survivors include his wife, Mary Lou Powell Young; 3 sons, Thomas Bruce Young, Rickey Young and Donald Harry Young, all of Forest Park.
Funeral service was held Monday afternoon at 3:30 P.M. from Hillcrest Chapel of Acree-Davis Funeral Home with Rev. Charles Savage officiating. Interment was in Confidence Methodist Church cemetery with Acree-Davis Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
