On Saturday, September 28, 2013, Wanda June Booker passed from this world to be with her Lord Jesus Christ and her beloved husband, Reese. She was born May 26, 1933, in Hagerman, NM to Leonard George and June (George) Burch. She married her high school sweetheart, Glenn Reese Booker, on August 10, 1952, in Artesia, NM, who preceded her in death. She is survived by their three children, Pamela June Booker, Rebecca Booker Anderson and husband Brett, and Michael Reese Booker; additionally, her grandchildren, Wesley Watson and wife Brook, Chelsea Anderson Richardson and husband Paul, Brittany Anderson, Brett Anderson II, Lauren Booker, Allison Booker, Reese Booker; and four fabulous GREAT-GRANDCHILDREN; also, a brother, Dr. Hugh Burch and wife Timi. Wanda was the Artesia, NM High School Football Queen and brought that beauty to all she knew in body as well as spirit. With a smile that lit up the room and an infectious laugh, she counted many people as her friends. She thoroughly enjoyed tennis and golf. She was an avid and accomplished cook and painter. She played a really mean game of bridge and mahjong and was unbeatable at gin rummy. In short, she was blessed with beauty and grace and loved life. She will be greatly missed. Services will be held 2 p.m. Friday, October 4, 2013, at the Hahn-Cook Chapel, 6600 Broadway Ext., OKC.
