Raymond Logan Grogan, 83, of Brevard went to be with the Lord on Friday, June 13, 2014. A native of Transylvania County, he was the son of the late Brance and Ruby Ducker Grogan. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by three sisters and one brother: Helen Henderson, Joann Reid, Inez Grogan, and Brance Grogan, Jr.

He was a graduate of Brevard High School, active in sports but especially softball. He loved all sports, ball, car races, antique cars, lake life, fishing, skiing and boating. Retired from Olin, he enjoyed life at the lake until he became disabled.

He was a loving husband, father, brother, grandfather and great-grandfather. He was also a quiet and humble man who loved the Lord, family and friends.
A Memorial Service for Ray Grogan will be held 4:00 PM, Saturday, June 28, 2014 at Brevard Wesleyan Church with Rev. Richard Jelly, Rev. Morris Davis, Rev. Raymond Phaup and Rev. David Blizzard officiating.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be made to the Brevard Wesleyan Church.
