Gladys Marie Sartoris (Deakin), 95, Phoenix resident for nearly 7 decades, passed away into the arms of Jesus on August 3, 2013. She was born in Fulton County, Illinois. Family graveside services will be held at Greenwood Memory Lawn Cemetery. Gladys was trained in the field of nursing but went to partner with her husband in several business endeavors. Gladys will be remembered for being forthright, hard working, perceptive, and mostly for her love for family as demonstrated by her listening ears, her charitable heart, the time she spent with others, and the giving of herself. Gladys is preceded in death by her husband Pete, and is survived by daughters; Patricia DeBenon, Emma Buchanan, and Maribel Ockenfels, 8 grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren, and 2 great great grandchildren.
