Madison, NEB--Funeral services of William Spence, who died suddenly of heart attack while driving an automobile southwest of Madison Sunday night will be held either Wednesday or Thursday at 1:30 p.m. at the home and at 2 p.m. at the Methodist church. Rev. Hal F. Schenck will officiate.
A pioneer of Madison, he was born at Stanton and came here in 1886. He was an employee of the local telephone exchange for 21 years and was second oldest volunteer in the Madison fire department.
Survivors include his wife, Lydia; two daughters, Billie Ellen and Patsy; a son, Robert, and a sister, Mrs. Lillian Spence Frederickson, of Harlan IA.
