Here was buried Abner Hignight. One of the earliest white settlers, who came in 1810. He later brought the first seed corn to Clark County. He was a farmer, sheriff and noted Bear and buffalo hunter. Died 1857. Grave located on the south side of hwy #26.

Abner Hignight is related to me through my Grandfather, James Abner Hignight. From all records found and family research, Abner was the brother to Nathanial Hignight my 3rd great- grandfather.
