Arthur Pinner married Spicey Jane Smith in 1847 and they had the following children; James, Francis, William, Arthur, Sarah, Mary, and Rachel.

Arthur's year of death is believed to be in 1891, although one descendant believes he died in 1911 at the home of one of his children in Marion County. Two family historians claim that he died of old age at the home of one of his children and was buried on his property at Pinner Island.

In reference to the local legend that he and his horse were killed by Federal Troops, either during the Civil War or during Reconstruction, don't seem possible, since he was alive in 1890. Per historical records, Federal Troops were removed from Florida in 1877. If correct, maybe killed by State Troops?

His year of birth is based upon US and Florida Census data.

This record was entered to provide another opinion to that already entered in Find A Grave Memorial # 121921527.
