Jim 77, passed away at home June 4, 2014. He was the fifth child of Clifford And Inez Decker. He was born and lived most of his life in Syracuse, NY.
Jim is survived by his loving wife of 31 years, Joan B. Waleski Decker, daughter Jamie Lynne Decker(Jim) Kobyluck of Phoenix, AZ, three step daughters, Victoria (Quinn) McGaffey of Fremont,CA, Regina (Bernie)DeLaCruz of ElCajon, CA and Jackie (Jack) Guzman of Phx, AZ, two brothers Norman F. Decker of Phoenix, AZ, Richard M. Decker of Tucson, AZ, and a sister Joanne M.Huff Litz of Syracuse, NY, many nieces and nephews, several step grand & great-grandchildren and many friends.
Jim was preceded in death by his parents Clifford J. Decker & Inez Katherine Bailey Huff, step father Oril King Huff, brother John "Jack" B. Decker and sister Marjorie D. Decker Mallette.
Jim married his bride Joan B. Waleski in May 1983 in Syracuse, New York at the Assumption Church, with a reception held at V.F.W. Post 3146, Mattydale.
Jim enjoyed playing pool at the Paradise Valley Community Center in Phoenix. He loved telling a good joke.
James D Decker enlisted in the Air Force in early 1954 at the age of 17. He was at the Sampson Air Force Base in NY and part of the Flight 3016, 3669th Training Squadron.
