Judy Lane Jost, daughter of James W. and Erma June (Frederick) Jost, was born October 19, 1951 in Lindsborg, Kansas. She passed away Thursday evening, October 19, 2006 on the day of her 55th birthday, after a courageous battle with cancer, at her home in Harper.
Judy came to Attica with her parents and attended the Attica Schools until graduating with the class of 1968. She then attended the Bethany College at Lindsborg, KS on a music scholarship. Music was very important to Judy and continued playing the piano until she could no longer sit at the piano.
She moved to Harper in 1996 and opened an upholstery shop until her health failed.
She was raised in the Lutheran Church as a young girl and later attended the Baptist Church with friends.
Judy was preceded in death by her mother and father.
She will be deeply missed by her daughter, Megan Shannon and her husband, Jim, of Cheney, KS; her son, Mark Schroeder of Minneapolis, Minnesota; nine grandchildren; one sister, Kitty Loesch of Attica, KS; other relatives and many friends.
