Thief River Falls- Harry Harold Hamberg, age 72, died Monday, February 13, at Northwest Medical Center in Thief River Falls.

Funeral services for Harry Harold Hamberg will be Wednesday, February 15, at 10 a.m. at the Green Funeral Home Chapel in Thief River Falls with Rev. Henry Moyer officiating. Paula Adamson will preside at the organ, with Renee Jensen singing, "How Great Thou Art" and "On Eagles Wings."

Visitation was scheduled Tuesday from 3 to 8 at the Funeral Home, with a 7 p.m. prayer service there that evening. There will also be visitation on Wednesday until the time of service.

Active casketbearers will be Orville Hvidsten, Donald and Donald Merdink, Jr., Ronald and Bruce Jensen, John Larson, and Leroy and William Hamberg. Honorary bearers will be all friends and family of the deceased.

Harry Harold Hamberg was born April 15, 1992, at Nelson Park township, near Strandquist, the son of Jons and Gunda Nelson Hamberg. He was baptized and confirmed at Salem Lutheran church, rural Stephen. He graduated from Karlstad high school and Bemidji Business College.

He worked as a bookkeeper at First National Bank in Stephen, Jensen Chevrolet in Stephen, and at the Duluth Correction Center in Duluth, and later at Land O'Lakes in Thief River Falls. He enjoyed fishing.

He is survived by five sister and a brother, Ann (Husband, Donald) Merdink, and Ruby Jensen, all fo Stephen, Nan Hamberg, Grace Johnson, and V. (Husband, Orville) Hvidsten, all of Thief River Falls, and Roy (wife, Lorraine) Hamberg of Staples. He is also survived by a sister-in-law, Anna Hamberg, and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; one brother, Nels; one sister, Blenda; one niece; and one nephew; as well as brother-in-law, Norman Jensen.
